Because of our love for the ranch bred horse and a desire to raise horses for our cattle operation, we have a broodmare band that we have built from a select base.  What started out 20 years ago with those top quality mares that were exceptional producers...continues on as we have kept back their fillies that are now being bred to our three performance bred stallions.
We produce foals that are bred to work cattle one day and trail ride the next. They are smart, athletic, and have willing dispositions along with conformation that will halter.

Situated on the Des Moines River, in the heart of Shimek State Forest, the Kokjohn's have been involved in various aspects of the horse industry for over 30 years.  Our program consists of approx 90 broodmares selected with performance pedigrees and color.  Our Stallions are performance bred, with heavy emphasis on Leo & Joe Reed bloodlines, and offer a variety of size and color.  All with good dispositions.  All foals are sold by private treaty here on the ranch, priced from $500.00 to $2000.00.

Helling Quarter Horses
Our farm is located south of Keosauqua in southeast Iowa.  We currently run 6 mares and our stallion stands to outside mares as well. 
Texas Dan SK is a homozygous black 1999 model.
